EUGENE, Ore. — Some Willagillespie students haven’t missed a day of school this year, and Monday they were rewarded for their perfect attendance.
The kids walked over to Noodle & Company for a free lunch with their school principal, who says the group has grown tremendously since the program’s inception.
What began as just three kids has multiplied by 10. School administrators say it’s both a great incentive to come to class as well as a needed life lesson.
“We want to in the end create adults who are responsible who in the workplace understand being on time and being actually present,” said Stella Dadson, Willagillespie School Principal.
Noodle & Company did a special promotion especially for the elementary school.
